Hair donation

What is Hair Donation?

Hair donation is an activity conducted by non-profit organizations to provide 100% human hair medical wigs to children who have lost their hair due to various reasons, such as pediatric cancer and leukemia, at no cost.

NPO JHD&C (Japan Hair Donation & Charity)

At SOZO Hair, we support and donate to this organization.

Why Children's Wigs?

Children’s wigs are less varied in size and design compared to adult wigs, and full wigs made from 100% human hair are very expensive. As a result, it is difficult for all children who need medical wigs to receive them.

Additionally, it is said that it takes hair from 30 people to make a single wig!

As a supporting salon for hair donation, we at SOZO Hair are helping to expand the circle of donations. We hope to be a bridge connecting as many customers as possible with JHD&C.

To Donate:

Anyone can donate, regardless of age, gender, whether the hair is gray, curly, colored, or permed.

Hair must be at least 31 cm long. (If it’s less than 31 cm, it can still be used indirectly through resale, etc.)

We assist with the mailing process for those who have their hair cut at SOZO. (We cannot accept hair brought in for donation.)

The Haircut Process:

1. We confirm the desired hairstyle after the donation.

2. We determine the length to be donated (generally at least 31 cm).

3. We tie several sections of the hair with rubber bands and cut the bundles.

4. We wash the hair to assess its condition.

5. We cut the hair, taking into account its natural fall and texture. (When transitioning from long to short hair, the natural wave and volume of the hair may become more prominent due to the loss of weight.)

Cutting long hair into a short style can be a big decision.
We offer thorough consultations to ensure you feel comfortable and confident in your choice.
