Sozo is her baby, hairstyling is her life and creativity is what flows in her veins. Sozo’s top director Yoko is a Japanese hair artist with a rare and genuine sense of fashion. Having graduated from one of Tokyo’s best hairdressing schools, a city famous for its cutting-edge style, she decided to broaden her creative horizon and to master her craft in trend-setting salons in Sydney and Hong-Kong. After several years at Toni and Guy where her skills gained her exposure in magazines and fashion shows, Yoko opened her own salon Sozo Hair Design in January 2013. Dmitrii (Dimi) Ribchuk

Creative Stylist

Dimitrii; or Dimi as we know him, had an interest in fashion and style from a young age. At the age of 17, he rejected a diplomatic career to become a hairdresser, going on to win his first international competition before turning 18.

Eager to develop his talents, Dimi traveled around Europe learning from some of the best hairdressers in the industry, such as official Miss Universe beauty team members, world champions and celebrity hairstylists.After three years of intense training, Dimi settled down to concentrate on hair education salon work and TV show styling.

He still has the same passion and enthusiasm for creating beautiful hair as he did the first day he held a pair of scissors in his hands.

Billy Lee

Senior Stylist

Billy, one of Sozo’s seasoned stylists, embodies a perfect blend of experience and talent.

With over 13 years of experience, Billy has honed his skills as a senior stylist in prestigious Hong Kong salons such as Peninsula Hotel, Il Colpo Group, and The Firm.

His creativity, confidence, and impeccable cutting techniques have garnered him a loyal clientele.

Moreover, his exceptional coloring and highlighting skills have positioned him as a sought-after hairdresser in Hong Kong.

Erin Wong

Senior Stylist

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Erin Wong attended the Vidal Sassoon Academy in London for nearly three years before returning to Hong Kong to deliver her edgy London styles.

With over 15 years experience in the beauty industry, Erin has spent her time honing her skills in precision cuts, corrective colour, highlights and, in particular, short style for women. Erin lives her job and in her spare time has done work for the local magazine, Zip, as well as many fashion shows.

Erin believes client consultation is paramount to achieving complete satisfaction and prides herself on making her clients feel renewed and refreshed after every salon visit. She focuses on every detail to create a polished, fresh look for her clients.

Kurumi Saito

Senior Stylist

Kurumi hails from Japan where she worked for more than 14 years as a stylist. She has passion for hair and tracks the latest trends and techniques. Kurumi learnt her craft (and English) as an apprentice in the UK and then Tokyo.

Kurumi’s specialty is Japanese straightening where she is able to consistently create natural, healthy looking hair without the damage. She also has finely honed short hair style techniques. Kurumi recommends part straightening/perm to get minimum damage to get good result.

Outside the salon, Kurumi has participated for Fashion week in Tokyo, Mrs USA Universe and Transcontinental Pageant, and Fitness world Japan as a make up artist.

Yusuke Kanda

Senior Stylist

Born in Osaka, and after spending his formative years in Fukuoka, Yusuke was inspired by the famous stylist Vidal Sassoon and moved from Japan to London to pursue a career combining the Japanese approach to detail with International hair-styling techniques.

Yusuke has worked at some of the top salons in London and Osaka, to bring more than 20 years of Japanese and International hair-styling experience to the Sozo team.

Yusuke specialises in medium and long length cuts, along with colour and takes his clients’ hair styling to the next level with his detail-focuses techniques. His passion centers around intersecting both trend-setting and classic hairstyles, with every changing fashion.

Outside of the salon, Yusuke is a trusted stylist to a wide roster of international actresses and models, having styled numerous major fashion shows.

Narumi Sakuma
